◆ Biography ◆
In the annals of interstellar exploration and parasitology, few stories captivate as much as that of Banana, the first Impostor successfully pacified by the groundbreaking Paximpostum serum. Developed by the scientist Stilka, the serum not only marked a monumental achievement in the pursuit of peace between species but also gave rise to an unlikely and profound bond between two beings from worlds apart.
Originally a crewmate typically stationed on Mira HQ, Banana embarked on a mission to Polus, a turning point that would forever alter the course of her life. It was there, amid the icy expanses and desolate outposts, that she encountered the parasitic entity that was ravaging her species. Following an attack, she was infected by the parasite, undergoing a transformation that stripped her of her previous identity and thrust her into the shadows of her own existence.
As an Impostor, Banana embodied the quintessential predator, adept at killing crewmates and sabotaging teams. Yet, unlike her counterparts, she exhibited an unusual proclivity to remain on Polus, haunting the empty corridors of the station and endlessly scanning radio frequencies. This behavior hinted at a lingering connection to her past life, a faint echo of the person she once was, struggling against the parasite's control.
The turning point in Banana's existence however, came with her capture by Stilka, who, driven by a mix of scientific curiosity and a deep-seated desire for peace, saw in her not just a subject but a being capable of change. Confined within a cage, Banana spent years under Stilka's careful observation and treatment. During this period, a complex relationship began to develop between captor and captive. Initially driven by a primal urge to attack, Banana gradually found herself drawn to Stilka, a connection that deepened as the serum began to take effect.
The transformation of Banana from a feared Impostor to a pacified companion is a testament to the serum's success and Stilka's unwavering dedication. Over time, the barriers between them diminished, giving way to a partnership founded on mutual respect and affection. Their relationship, once unthinkable, became a symbol of hope and the possibility of coexistence between species.
Tragically, in the midst of Banana's journey alongside that involved Stilka, and their companions on Earth, they encountered a formidable adversary known as Mania. And in a swift and rather brutal confrontation, Banana, as well as several others, fell victim to Mania quite easily, meeting a brutal demise in the hands of the demon, as she was quite literally disemboweled by Mania's sharp claws and left to bleed out.
Stilka of course witnessed the entire thing and was too grappled and injured himself with the aftermath of the encounter. However, amidst the sorrow, it seemed Stilka's grief seemed to stem primarily from the setback to his research rather than the brutal and rather horrific loss of his partner. It left many of the observers and friends of his to ponder the significance of their relationship truly, and if Stilka truly saw her as a lover rather than a test subject he'd occasionally sleep with every now and then.
Alas, Banana's brave and selfless sacrifice to defend her companions endures as a testament to her profound impact she had as the first pacified Impostor that she'd surely end up being memoralized for. In her final act, Banana chose to stand in defense rather than a selfless retreat or betrayal akeen to Impostors, embodying that very selfless bravery that transcended her former identity as a threat, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered for the upcoming generations of other tamed and pacified Impostors to hopefully come.
