Sounds of the CxB Universe

The CxB OST

The CxB OST, which originally started as the OST for the Friday Night Funkin' mod of the same name, is a multi-year labor of love that serves as the main official soundtrack for the CxB project. Starting in February 2021, the OST has been a constant work in progress, with tracks being added, removed, and reworked throughout the mod's development. The soundtrack features a diverse range of musical styles, reflecting the eclectic nature of the CxB universe. Most, if not all of the music in the CxB project is written, composed, produced, engineered and mastered by Cora, with very rare and sparse collaborations from a very specific group of fellow musicians. As time passed, Cora considered the mod more of a vessel for his music, rather than the other way around, with the music being the main focus and driving force behind the project. Of course, with the cancelation of the mod, the OST can now finally breathe free from the constraints it was originally tied to.

Think About It

Think About It is the first album ever made by Cora, who went by Hazard TV at the time. It was released in April 2018 and features 9 tracks, consisting of extremely poorly produced GarageBand beats quite literally created during class on the school computer during middle school. The songs are admittedly not very good, but they do have a certain charm and raw energy that can be appreciated in a "so bad it's good" kind of way. The 2nd track, "Saxophone's Piano Tunes" would eventually be remade and remastered, becoming "Demon's Bargain", the shop theme in FNF: CxB. Despite the cringe, the album remains up on SoundCloud purely for archival and historical purposes, as it represents the very humble beginnings of Cora's musical journey, and serves as a reminder of how far he's come since then.

Thank You Captain Obvious

Thank You Captain Obvious is the debut studio album by the Cleveland-based indie pop band Machine Go Boom, lead by none other than Mikey Machine. Released in September 2003 under the Collectible Escalators label, the album was celebrated for its quirky, energetic fusion of power pop and "grown-up" indie rock. The 2nd track, "Captain Obvious", was officially remade and remastered after Cora came into contact with Mikey Machine, becoming a part of the CxB repertoire, and became technically the oldest CxB song and the first song to have originated from a project that predates it by nearly two decades. Perhaps we will see a re-issue of the album on the CxB Crew label with more remakes? Only time will tell.
